Even as I thank the entire MIOT team , I would like to place on record my appreciation of a few individuals who helped me through the 8 days I was there.

Dr Trevor Nair whose early morning ICU visits & interactions gave me the feel that every small thing was taken seriously and addressed; Dr Varun who with his attention to minute changes, quick and definite responses and unflagging energy kept me positive; Sister Richa (ICU) who took care of me right through with complete confidence and attention to my slightest discomfort ; Physiotherapist Mani (ICU) who firmly insisted I walk with him in the wee hours of the morning ; Sisters Bessie Thomas, Gandhimathi & Janaki ( in the ICU) and Sisters Chitra & Anju ( later in my room) – for never panicking, for their quiet confidence and endless patience ; Ms Sajini who saw to it every day that we were more than comfortable in every way. And ofcourse my surgeon Dr Eapen Koshy who’s complete conviction on my getting fully well has me set a new goalpost: Registering for the Wipro Marathon 5 km walk in December – something which I would never have dreamt of doing!

Together I find they have given me an even better reason to get well and come back stronger- to make sure I do justice to their incredible effort. Thankyou MIOT.
