Around 87 poster and 27 models were displayed with more than 1500 visitors including the overseas patients and attenders. This is one of the bench mark event for MIOT international for the year 2023.

The inauguration of this significant event was graced by the presence of MIOT’s esteemed Managing Director, Dr. Prithvi Mohandas, underscoring the institution’s unwavering commitment to patient safety. Our beloved chairman Mrs. Mallika Mohandas also graced the occasion with her presence. Organized by the Patient Safety Officer of MIOT’s Quality Department, this exhibition carried the theme of “Engaging Patient Safety – Zero Harm.”

The primary goal of this event was to create widespread public awareness about patient safety, showcasing MIOT International as a leading proponent of international safety standards in healthcare. One of the key highlights of the exhibition was the presentation of informative video content. These videos illuminated the dos and don’ts adhered to by MIOT’s nursing department, aligning with the International Patient Safety Goals (IPSG).

A captivating competition added an element of excitement to the event. Both clinical and non-clinical departments within MIOT actively participated by displaying their contributions to patient safety through informative posters and intricate models. The competition not only fostered healthy competition but also facilitated knowledge sharing among various departments.

This exhibition was open to all, including MIOT’s dedicated staff, patients, their attendees, and the general public. This inclusive approach aimed to engage the broader community in understanding and appreciating the significance of patient safety in healthcare.

Through a combination of visual displays, informative videos, and engaging competitions, MIOT International’s “Patient Safety Awareness Programme” not only highlighted the institution’s commitment to excellence but also empowered everyone who attended with the knowledge and awareness needed to actively contribute to the cause of patient safety.
