MIOT International Proudly Celebrates 25 Years of Integrity in Healthcare

Stalin has always offered great encouragement during MIOT’s journey, by launching MODE (MIOT Organ Drive) in commemoration of its 10th Anniversary Year (2009), and by virtually inaugurating the MIOT Rehab Centre in 2022.
The foundation of the MIOT legacy took root in the vision of Prof. Dr. Mohandas, a true man of integrity. Known as the Father of Modern Orthopaedics in India, with widespread repute as an orthopaedic surgeon, he nurtured a lifelong dream of healthcare for all.
His deep-rooted values of excellence and commitment transformed his dream into a reality when he was 65 years old. He founded MIOT as a 70-bed trauma hospital in 1999. The MIOT family grew to become 3,000-strong and embodied Prof. Dr. Mohandas’ values in their spirit of innovation & commitment to exceptional care with compassion. Upholding the founder’s integrity, they stood as MIOT’s pillars of support during its expansion into a 63-speciality, 1,000-bed hospital. MIOT became a global healthcare destination trusted by patients from across 130 countries.
MIOT set the highest standards of excellence and became known as a hospital of many firsts, pioneering in the adoption of several medical innovations. The year 2023 saw the launch of MIOT Seychelles Medical to bring world-class diagnostics and ENT care to the people of Seychelles.
MIOT continued to introduce innovative firsts in healthcare by successfully performing the 1st Radiofrequency Ablation Procedure in Tamil Nadu for a thyroid nodule. It also pioneered fracture treatment using the Tibia Nail Advanced System for the 1st time in India.
MIOT conducted a course on ‘Direct Anterior Approach – Clinical Outcomes and Operating Room Efficiency’ (hip joint replacement), which brought healthcare technology advancements from Israel to India. These significant milestones marked MIOT’s landmark 25th year.
MIOT is poised to conquer many more milestones in its journey of integrity in healthcare. It is consistently elevating its excellence and introducing the latest healthcare innovations for better outcomes. This reflects in the unshakeable trust it is gaining from patients across the world, every day.
