MIOT International Celebrates 26 Years of Excellence!

MIOT International proudly celebrates its 26th Founder’s Day on February 12, 2025. This 26th Founder’s Day is a testament to MIOT’s unwavering commitment to excellence and its relentless pursuit of advancing healthcare. The event was graced by the chief guest, Dr. Haresh Jivan, Chairman of Le Chantier Health Services, Seychelles and special guest Mr. P. S. Karthigeyan, IFS, Joint Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi.

Over 300 delegates from Seychelles, Fiji, Maldives, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, Comoros, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, the Solomon Island, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Madagascar, Cambodia, Liberia, Zambia, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Rwanda, Kenya, India, and Cameroon attended this momentous occasion.

This landmark has been made possible by the strong leadership of our esteemed Managing Director, Dr. Prithvi Mohandas, who has carried forward the legacy for years. Adding to the significance of the day, insightful presentation was delivered by Dr. Senthil Kumar Ravichander, Director of Surgical Oncology on “Robotics – Removing the Fear of Surgery”. Following that, Dr. Kurinjinathan, Head of the Department of Mental Well-Being, gave a highly informative presentation on “Myths about Mental Illness”.

To commemorate the occasion, a cookbook titled “Symphony on Your Plate” was unveiled, featuring healthy and delicious recipes. The awardees of The Lifetime Achievement Award, Beyond the Call of Duty Award, Working with Passion to Achieve Excellence Award, and Outstanding Performance Doctor awards, were felicitated, recognising their outstanding contributions.

Comprehending the needs of the patients, this year, MIOT has launched several cutting-edge technologies. Notable among them is the state-of-the-art Robotic Surgical System. Our launch of AI-assisted robotic surgery has revolutionised knee replacement procedures, setting new standards in surgical excellence. With a sense of societal responsibility, MIOT’s Department of Mental Well-Being hosted a special awareness session “Navigate the Potential” on Child Behavioural and Developmental Challenges. Additionally, we organised an insightful talk “Breaking the Silence of Addiction” to address society that addiciton is a medical condition and the stigma hinders people affected by addiciton from seeking help and alienates them.

These efforts reflect MIOT’s commitment to giving every individual the support they need to reclaim their lives. MIOT’s dedication and commitment to putting patients first has earned the trust of people worldwide, solidifying its position as a leader in global healthcare.
