Honorary Membership of the German Association of Joint Replacement Surgeons received by our Chief Prof.Dr.P.V.A.Mohandas at Heidelberg, Germany on December 2, 2005
The first indian and the first person ever to receive this award!
Prof.Dr. P.V.A.Mohandas was conferred the Honorary Membership of the German Association of Joint Replacement Surgeons, at their Annual Congress in Heidelberg, Germany. He is the first ever Surgeon to be presented this Award. This function was attended by over 300 Joint Replacement Surgeons, from all over the world, on 2nd December 2005.
Receiving this Award from Dr Kirschener, Prof. Dr. P.V.A. Mohandas said he was happy to receive the Award and it had made his country proud. He was there in the United Kingdom, when Joint Replacement was in its infancy and he was happy to have advanced over the years to a stage when his Hospital is one of the 3 Hospitals in the world where minimally invasive joint replacement using computer integrated instrumentation system is done.
