RECENT EVENTS METAA – FOURTH AORTIC SUMMIT – INTERNATIONAL MEETING ON LATEST TRENDS IN AORTIC ANEURYSM MANAGEMENT 8th and 9th January 2011
The Fourth Aortic Summit was held at MIOT Hospitals between 8th and 9th January 2011. The meeting was attended by around 150 cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, interventional radiologists and vascular surgeons and they discussed their experiences. In addition, live demonstrations of open and endovascular surgeries are also being performed
MIOT being a leading centre in the country for thoracic and cardio vascular care practices the latest Keyhole or Endovascular stenting – the latest development that involves less risk and minimal stay in the hospital. The success rate of open surgery for aortic aneurysm is 95%, which was only 50-60% in olden days. With this in mind, a Press Meet was conducted on 07th January 2011 in order to create awareness amongst the public about Aneurysm and its treatments options.
This fourth aortic international summit offered the real platform for cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, interventional radiologists and vascular surgeons to share the latest development in aortic aneurysm treatments option available around the world, offered training and share key statistical data.
METAA has been conducting meetings over the last 3 years where experts from India and abroad discuss the recent innovations in aortic diseases. This year we had four international experts who were the keynote speakers in this 4th international summit.
