What is a Brain Bypass surgery
Obstruction to the blood flow to the brain can result in stroke that is manifested by either loss of power in limb/s. The blockage may be due to stroke, tumors or moya moya disease. Moya Moya disease is a rare condition in children and young adults in which the blood supply to the brain is not formed properly. During the Bypass surgery, the normal blood vessel such as in the scalp is used to restore the blood flow in the brain.
