MIVS (Minimally Invasive Valve Surgeries)
In the past 10-15 years, technological advances have made it possible to perform cardiac surgery through smaller incisions. This has been made possible with the use of special instruments, video-assisted visualisation of the surgical field, modern surgical techniques and better cardiopulmonary bypass technology.
At MIOT, the latest equipment and expertise is available to perform MIVS. Without cutting any bone in the chest or with minimal cutting of bone, procedures like mitral valve replacement or repairs, aortic valve replacements are done.
Besides cosmesis, the patient has a shorter ICU and hospital stay. They also return to work in shorter time.
